Had to bring Miss Moon for her trim today. The vet had noticed at our last visit, she had at least one long molar. After having so recently lost my two boys, I was very concerned and it was upsetting to bring her. Poor Everly. She was super upset. She didn’t want to leave Elara there. She thought she wouldn’t come back home. I reassured her but in my mind, could only think of Olivia who never came back home from her molar trim. Everly was too  young to remember that but she saw me go to the vet twice in the past few months and return home without her bunny.

So after many hours of worrying, I got a message saying she made out well but was still sleepy and not eating. I picked her up around supper time and she came home starving. Glad for that. No way I’d ever be able to force feed her. Over 2 months, and I still haven’t been able to properly pick her up. We are working on it, baby steps, but she’s very skittish. The vet tech described her as “opinionated.”

I saw on FB earlier. So glad everything turned out just fine.

Do you think this will be a recurring thing?

Congratulations! So glad to hear she made it through alright. “Opinionated” is a good word. I’m going on three years with Olaf and have never been able to properly hold him for any kind of care. But we love our sassy buns!

Thanks, everyone. Elara is doing great. My vet always gives Metacam for possible inflammation after a dental for a few days. Yeah, that’s been fun…lol
