Seeing as how summer is just around the corner, do I need to take any special precautions for Storm who is a fuzzy lop? I know it’s bad if the temperature gets above 84° F for them but does that also apply to Storm? I know I need to give her extra water and I have started to put ice in the water as well.

Do I need to monitor how much fur she has? I imagine she would have a hard time regulating her temperature if she had too much or too little fur.

          Hi!
Well where does storm live? Inside or outside? Inside, is it on carpet? I know my lop is hot regardless if its winter or summer (that darn thick coat). You can always add ice to water but not too much as their teeth could be sensitive, You can always add a couple of large tiles around where she lives so she can lay on them to cool off, my buns loved it before I got wood flooring.

Make sure you brush her a lot so she can get that molting coat off of her

All of my bunnies are inside. So in short I don’t need to do anything special for a fuzzy lop?

Well, it depends on the flooring you have them on. Is she on carpet most of the time? I would go to lowes and get some large floor tiles and lay them around the house so she can lay on them when she gets hot. That works with my lop and keeps her cool!
