We are to introduce one green or veggie at a time. So I’m wondering what’s the best one to try first. Since Mooki is ready.

Most people start with romaine lettuce, as it’s rare that rabbits have problems on it, and most like it. You could also try other green or red lettuces (but not iceberg). Cilantro/coriander is another good option, or kale.

Give the bunny just a tiny piece to start with (the size of a finger) and increase it each day if there’s no poop problems. Some rabbits can’t handle veg before 6 months, but most should be fine. Once you’ve successfully done a week of the first veg, try adding another.

In the bunny info section there’s a list of bunny safe veg.

Thanks for answering. We picked up some fresh organic romaine . now is organic better ? We tried carrots yesterday he wasn’t interested at all. So we decided to try greens.

I guess organic probably is better, but I don’t buy organic for my bunnies.

Carrot actually counts as fruit for bunnies, as it’s quite sugary, so it should be saved as a treat! Sugary treats should wait until they’re a bit older too, more like 6 months, when they can have a small piece of fruit a couple of times a week
