Bear is apx. 5 months old and she was doing soooo well with litter box training. Then…..it stopped. I was told on the forum it’s because her hormones kicked in. Great. She’s getting spayed next month but I need to figure out how to get her to stop peeing outside of the litter box before then or I’m going to pull out all of my hair.
She has a huge two story hutch. Then she also has a huge “front yard” that I will leave open to her while I’m at work. The plan used to be she gets access to the front yard while I’m at work and then I let her out around the house when I get home. She started peeing when I let her out around the house, so I no longer let her hop around (forum said to minimize space). Now she will pee in the “front yard” so I will put her in her hutch. I can’t just leave her in her hutch all the time and that is my largest concern. But the second I let her out she pees. I tried to correct that behavior by placing her in the litter box and cleaning her urine up with a paper towel and placing it in her litter box (which she destroys btw).
So I’m officially like WTH, I want her to be able to hop around the house but jeez, it seems hopeless now. Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments? She’s lucky shes cute….
P.S. Moving in a few months and she will have a grass yard…thankfully.
