        Hi everybun!

First of all the good news is Sam’s recovering well from his neuter & mostly back to his old self  going to take him back to the vets in a week or so to check on him – weirdly the vet nurse didn’t think I’d need to come back, but enough bunny owners have advised me otherwise!

Re: bonding…apologies if this is long! Trying to figure out the best possible set up before I move house next week.

New house will have a designated room for the bun/s (aka my art studio) so they won’t be sharing our bedroom – boyfriend is relieved about that!

The room is probably around 10 x 10 ft (from memory, so might be a bit off). I know I’ll want to rearrange the furniture & layout a few times while settling in. Sam will be living in there on his own until I bring a new bunny home, about a month. Once this happens, will I be able to divide the room in half with an xpen & keep the new bun in the same room, if Sam’s already established it as his territory? Or do I need to keep the new bun living in a separate room until they’re bonded & able to share the space?

There is a possible option of shelter bonding, but said shelter is over an hour away & I would have to take 2 buses – Sam’s never been on a bus before, he’s anxious enough with a 15 minute taxi ride to the vets!

What would you guys recommend for my house set up throughout this process? Thank you!

I think it might be a good idea to start the new bunny in a different room. That way he has time to settle in without Sam (though an absolute sweetheart ) potentially getting fussy that there’s a new bun invading his space. I think 2-4 weeks has passed and he seems comfortable, then you can move him into Sam’s territory and divide the room in half.
