I normaly are care of my rabbit, Momo, but reacently I went on a two week trip and my family took care of him. When I got back, I found bald spots above his hind knees, and over the past day or two, it has gotten wors. The skin on one patch it getting dry and coming off, leaving raw skin. I think he is over grooming, and we have sceguwaled a vet visit, but is there anything I can do to help in the mean time? I’m really worried about my little fluff ball!

Hey there! I hope everything goes well at the vet, for now if the wounds are shallow then you can apply some neosporin to the raw areas. Try covering the areas with some soft gauze as well, If not then just watch to make sure they aren’t licking at the spots.

This is very important. Please make sure that you use the neosporin WITHOUT pain relief in it, this has proven to be toxic to them. Plain neosporin should be fine though.

Let us know how the visit goes!

Thanks for the suggestions! I checked it and it seems to be getting better! I don’t see him licking it that much, witch it good. I’m not sure if we have neosporin. But I will tell my Mom, and maybe she can go get some laiter. Thank you again for the tips!
