Hello I have a 8 month old holland Lop Luna.
I’m going away for vacation for 12-13 days.
I know that putting a rabbit in another environment isn’t the best option out there.
I can’t take her with me and I don’t want to leave her at my home all day with someone only checking in on her only at night.
My boyfriend got me my rabbit and she has been to his place before. I want to know if this is the safest option for my bun.
He stays at home most the day will be with her a lot. She does know him well and he has handled her a lot. He has 2 cats and she is around animals in my home. She has also met his cats before and doesn’t seem bothered by them.
Her whole set up will go over there. The cage everything. And it’s going to be set up the same way.
I want to know what you all think about this as well

Hey there!  I think her going over to your boyfriends house would be the better option, especially if you’re concerned that she wont be comfortable in a completely different environment and worried that she wont get the attention she needs with someone only giving her attention twice a day. I would just say that you make sure he knows all the care she’ll need and what to watch out for in case she gets sick or anything like that. Good luck!

Agreed, leaving her with your boyfriend is by far the best option, seeing that she knows him and his cats and has been there previously.

Agreed as well. The only ones I could trust the most were family members. They have pets and they actually cared about how I wanted them to take care of her. They weren’t perfect, because I can be very specific and detailed in my expectations. But she had an environment of consistent interaction with appropriate care and attention. It sounds like your plan is the best option. She has been there before, he will be there a lot to spend time with her, he has handled her before, you are taking her familiar environment with her (cage, setup, etc.) It sounds most ideal.

Thank you all for your responses!
This makes me feel more secure about my decision. He has been there since she was a baby and he knows what to do if she gets sick. She’s not a very sensitive bunny either lol she isn’t bothered by many things. I was only worried about changing her surroundings. But he will be with her a lot and able to let her run around all she wants.
