If the rabbits groom each other occasionally, does that mean they are bonded? The two of them have been living in the same cage for the past 2 weeks and there’s no fighting. I see pushover time to time. But one of the likes to roam by herself most of the time when the cage is open while the other one just stays in the cage.

Well, grooming is a good sign obviously but bonding is more complex than that. Can you tell us what bonding techniques you’ve done?

I adopted a neutered male back in September 2017, it was just the recent 2 weeks that i put them in the same cage.
I’ve done neutral ground where they met, but it started with a lot of pooping and peeping and chasing.
As of now they eat together , share the same litter box and i see them sleep next to each other. But a lot of times they also sleep far apart from each other as if they are not interested. And about a month ago i was passively looking to rehome the male, and i seem to found someone who is really interested with a good home. I am still indecisive about giving him away seeing some progress.
