Just adopted Donnie last week, who is 1.4 years old and is an American breed.  He poos for the most part fine in his box, but will only pee on the bed.
I blocked off the bed and than he jumped into a full hamper and peed there,  so putting all his urine soaked paper towels in his original box with lots of hay aside from his hay box over it I also decided to put the hamper in his indoor pen area also(and put into a nice comfy towel into and he still wont pee in his enclosure!!  I don’t need tips, I am really concerned about how long is too long for him to hold his pee though it is not like I am going hold anything agaisnt you if you do tip, just trying to save you time.
Last weekend I had him on lock down,  within a time frame of about 36 hours he had around 8 hours in his outdoor pen and he won’t pee out there either!!  He will only pee on the bed, so if I block off the bed and I line the hamper with news paper and a soft towel on top for him, if that still wont do it.  is there drugs that induce urination?  How long will he hold his pee for?  how much damage is that gonna do to his urine system.
This is making me so sad because other than this he is such an awesome little guy!!  Please help.

I’d put a litterbox in ready position near him. Once he arches his butt to pee on your bed, make a hiss sound to spook him (sound cue) and immediately grab him and place him (gently) in the litterbox. If he hops out without peeing, let him run out, follow him closely (don’t chase him) and when he arcs his butt again to pee, redo the whole process.

He needs to understand he can pee in areas outside the bed.
