FORUM HOUSE RABBIT Q & A Weird fur on ears?

        So, I’ve had this chinchilla rabbit (don’t know which kind of chinchilla rabbit) for a few months now. Since we got him, he’s had this weird fur pattern on his ears. Near the base (where it meets his head,) Its longer fur, and the same color as his neck. About one or two inches higher, it just cuts off in a clean line into very short hairs for the rest of the ear. I was just wondering if this is normal, this is my first time ever having a rabbit

          It’s a bit difficult to picture what you’re describing. Are you able to upload a picture?

          I’m not sure about chinchilla rabbits in particular but I’ve had 4 rabbits before, with the latest one being a Netherland Dwarf. As far as I recall, most rabbits usually have slightly longer fur behind their neck compared to the rest of their body. I’m not sure if that’s what you’re asking, but here’s a picture of my rabbit for reference:

              Depending on how long the fur is, it could suggest there is some lionhead mixed in there somewhere.
