  Sorry I’m posting questions so often. Today I was checking Cocoa for mats and noticed a weird bump on her side. It looks kind of like a pimple. What should I do? I tried to take a picture but you can’t really see it. I only found one and she seems fine. Any ideas as to what it might be?

  It could be the start of an abscess, which I hate to say it, but would require a vet visit to check on it.

  Can a wait like a week to bring her in? I think it may be an ant bite. I found an ant hill in my yard and I think one may have bit her. We took care of the ant hill and I checked the yard but didn’t find anymore.

  It could be a lot of things, so if possible, set an appointment when you can and if you find her behavior and health is changing in a bad way, try and move it up. It could be a skin tag, which someone posted about recently.

  Im going to the vet today. I noticed her back and her ears feel really hot and its kind of cold outside. I brought her inside. When i fed her she was hunched over in the back of her cage. I had her in her x pen today and she freaked out and started running and crashing in to everything.

  What should I do for the next four hours? I gave her a frozen water bottle but she is just sitting in the litterbox with her eyes closed

  Don’t know much about this, but like you said, it could be an ant bite. Definitely take her to the vet as soon as you can. In the mean time, try giving her things that people recommend for you to give her. Like I said, I personally don’t know about this too well. But can rabbits have Benedryll? Benedryll is great for ant bites. Probably didn’t spell it right but I hope you know what I mean. Just wait for their suggestions and try to do as much as you can for her. Also, can you maybe bring your bunnies inside to prevent stuff like this? Bunnies and the outdoors don’t do too well in my opinion.

  I’m not able to have them inside. shes leaning on a frozen water bottle with her eyes mostly closed but isn’t laying down?

  Being hunched over and not moving much are typical symptoms of stasis. You really should get simethicone on hand. It’s only a few dollars and can actually help to break up gas and get a rabbit through without a vet (sometimes). She definitely needs the vet, but the only recommendation I can give you now is syringe feed critical care and give simethicone.

  Also, bunnies with gas tend to do that hunch over thing instead of lying down. It isn’t comfortable for them to lie down when they have gas. is she eating? try giving her a treat. If she refuses the treat that is a bad sign.

  To answer the question above, yes rabbits can have children’s benedryl – I’ve never given it to mine but user Asriel&Bombur gives it to hers during the summer when he gets allergies.
  But yes – I would definitely try and make her eat something & get her to the vet asap!

  Yes she is eating, drinking, pooping, and peeing normal. I left her alone for a few minutes and when i came back she was laying against the water bottle. She’s eating hay right now. It is around 70. It is a bit windy. This morning it was i think around 60. I can’t get to a store to buy simethicone. She is totally fine except she feels really hot. Do you think the vet is necessary?

  1) get some simethicone to have on hand. You said on a previous thread that you’d get some..
  2) both your rabbits have been having problems lately. They BOTH need a check up. Particularly for Cocoa – You need to rule out why she is getting gas (if it is gas)
  3) you CANNOT leave your rabbits outside in the blistering heat. Most people that keep bunnies outside still bring them in during periods of extreme temperatures…

  At this point you really do need to bring Cocoa in. She has had several issues in the last few days. You aren’t a vet and neither are we, so we have no way of knowing what is going on with her. But, the fact that she is having different issues is concerning. There’s a possibility that all of her different symptoms/problems could correlate to a bigger problem. You just can’t keep putting off a vet visit when she seems to have something going on with her every few days. I know you care about your rabbits cocoa, but you really have to stop avoiding the vet.

  I just wanted to clarify that it was Lily who wasn’t eating a few days ago. Cocoa has been fine
