  Olly is not eating his Rabbit food but he will eat everything else like hay, cardboard and bits of greens, yesterday I found him putting his greens and a few little treat biscuits in a pile in the centre of his playpen, he is still rubbing his chin on his litter tray and cage wall, I have emptied his litter tray to see if he is using it, he is drinking, but he goes to his food bowl then runs off, could there be something wrong with the food? I sniffed it but I’m on antibiotics at the moment and my senses are not good.
  
  I do have syringes on standby and gripe water, but I don’t want to dive in and do it in case its not needed.
  
  The gripe water we have says Colic drops on the bottle is that the right one? Things have changed to do with medicine, if I do need to use the drops if Olly doesn’t poop, how much do I use?
  
  I’d hate to make things worse.
  
  Is it time to press the red panic button?

  Maybe my little man did eat while I was asleep, I don’t know being visually impaired, he seems OK, running about and accepted 1 Sultana earlier, but I don’t want to give him more, I don’t know if something has scared him he has his ears up all the time, unless I’m stroking him.
  
  Please help, he’s my assistant pet and would never forgive myself if it turned out to be something I didn’t notice being visually impaired and Olly suffers.
  
  We also have Fiberplex which was given to us by the vet when Olly had GI, there is a lot left, but Colic drops and Fiberplex are medicines and I don’t want to give them him if its not necessary.

  The dentinox colic drops should be fine. It has dimethicone instead of simethicone. Simethicone contains mostly dimethicon and both compounds are used in the same way. There is a syringe in the package, one syringe (2.5 ml) yields about 20 mg dimethicone. That would be a suitable dose for a bunny.

  Risk of overdosing is low because it is not absorbed by the body, it just acts locally in the gut and then it gets pooped out.
  
  Fibreplex is not really a medicine. It’s a high fibre-probiotic-prebiotic paste that helps the gut.   I think I’d give him a dab of the fibreplex. Perhaps he’d lick it off your finger. I’ve used it with Bam. It seems to be pretty yummy for a rabbit.
  
  Your vet said to monitor him, I’d do that. This doesn’t really sound like red panic button-time, seeing that he will eat veg and a bit of hay and a sultana. If he seems calmer when you stroke him, by all means stroke him. It is beneficial both for the pet and the animal and helps reduce stress.

  Hay is the most important thing, so if he’s eating hay that’s great.
  If he isn’t pooping I would be going to the vet, so keep an eye on that

  Hi Guys, its Olly Rabbit, I went to the Vets on Sunday, I had very early GI, the vet took me out of my carry box and he checked me over, luckily my human Daddy paid for my treatment, he was going to pay for a vet to see me at home, but it would take 3 days for the money to go to Mummy’s bank and wanted me to be seen as soon as possible, my human Daddy is away at the moment, he said he is going to pay for my insurance very soon, this morning Mummy got up and I rattled my Playpen bars and made her follow me to show her I had used my litter tray, she was very pleased and said I was a good boy, I did some binkies and bunny flopped at Mummy’s feet and gave her loving eyes, she gave me a tiny bit of mint, its my favorite, yes everyone I’m getting better, I don’t like Fibreplex, it tastes of carrot, I don’t like carrot at all, I let Mummy give it me and I eat it anyway.
