Well I thought id update you on Finn and Myrtle since I haven’t posted on here in a while.
If you follow us on Instagram then you will already be up to speed. The bonding process has gone well. I have not had any issues with this bond, in terms of fighting or aggressive behaviour. I did everything by the book with the natural space despite the fact that Myrtle has always been more then happy to shear her things from the get go (yes including her litter box).
Now I just put Finn in her Pen thinking nothing of it when she is out which has her Litter Box and bed in there — Finn likes to go take a pee in it and eat her hay
Myrtle of course isn’t bothered and just happy to have him around.
The only slight problem I have had is Finn being a randy little bugger. After a couple of hours when he gets a little bored he will start the humping….Myrtle hates him getting on her back so she turns around and ducks her head so his at the front….which I stop. She has kind of developed a methord of doing a little binky when he trying it on, to manoeuvre herself away
That said, her honking while his been trying to hump has subsided (I think she’s use to it now), and the humping itself has eased up. On Saturday they where together the entire day in Myrtles Pen. He has his moments but they do subside more quickly…and his eagerness has relaxed a little *touch wood*
They are not officially bonded yet, plus I need to get their living space sorted out. So I will continue like this until I can get that sorted. They may have to live in the play pen together (when that time comes), until i can get their bespoke wooden pen sorted out.
One thing I will add is they are not yet at the point of snuggling, and Finn hardly grooms her., It seems to be fairly one way at the moment where Myrtle is taking any Crumb that Finn throws at her (sounds familier ay ladies
