So, last night K remembered he does have vocal chords. He was having some quality time with his cow, but was biting down too hard, so I got him off the plushie and he did this “grunf grunf”. I’ve heard that sound before, he used to do it to protest when he was incapacitated to freely move during last year’s ordeal.

So far nothing out of the ordinary, maybe I ticked him off more than usual and he protested. But then right now (morning after), he’s randomly making that noise while eating his food and digging in the hay.

Could it be maybe that he snorted something up? Could it be a cold? (He’s not sneezing and doesn’t have snot)

He ate, pooped, peed and is behaving 100% normally. Right now he’s lounging and he’s feeling a bit hot cause hell season just started.

So I don’t know if to be amused and curious about this new thing or if to freak out and go bother the vet….

Maybe he’s feeling particularly sassy now that spring is in full swing? Especially cause it happened hen you took away his cow and when he was digging the hay. Maybe he was upset with you and later took it out on the hay xD

He’s doing it very randomly though… I can’t tell if he’s doing it voluntarily of if there’s something stuck in there that makes noise :/ his behaviour is still normal and his breathing is regular. I’m puzzled. Right now it sounds like a soft cooing :/

Maybe he got a tiny pellet or a little piece of hay wedged in his throat?

I’m thinking maybe a piece of hay or a speck of fluff from the cow :/ I guess I can only wait… I’ve read about blowing in their nose to dislodge stuff but I’m not doing that for sure <__<

He does his horny hu-hu sound just fine, and that’s a nasal sound, so at least the nose pipes are clear

Oh K, always causing problems for Mama. Sending vibes for little man in case it’s something off with him <3

So I caved in and picked him up for a complete check. His lunghs expand fine, still no nasal discharge, regular breathing and no other sounds except for the random weird one. Right now he obviously hates me lol.

My plan is to make him drink as much as possible and wait it out, I hope maybe a sneeze or just regular eating/drinking could take care of it…
Damn we’re so close to the 1-year-vet-free mark >___<
