Our girl, Olive, was spayed 1 week ago today. She had a rough start getting back to eating but has been doing great since. This morning we finally let her out to run around a bit and she was very content. Binkied a few times. This afternoon she seems to have suddenly lost interest in her food and treats and keeps backing into the corner. I moved her to double check her inscision sight and set her outside of the cage to see if it would prompt her to run around but she just hopped right back into the same place and backed up into the corner again. She also keeps periodically digging at the ground underneath her and then hunching down again. It’s right up at the front of her cage which is not normal when she wants to be left alone. She is not overly friendly but is not trying to avoid being pet.
Anybody have a rabbit who has acted like this for some reason?
        No teeth grinding or anything.

Our girl kept digging at the bedding that was in her cage when she was spayed, where as before, she never used to do that. She never dug, only burrowed on people when she wanted to be let down. I’ve read that digging is a sign that they want to feel more secure, but i haven’t done a ton of research on it. Just read a few threads.

Be very careful. At one week, the wound isnt healed yet so allowing her to run and binky can cause pain (or worse). She shouldnt be allowed to run or binky until after the two week mark.

Since shes not eating anything, she likely hurt herself from the exercise she wasnt supposed to have yet. If she doesnt eat within 8 hours, call the vet and start feeding her critical care or pellet mash (pellets soaked in water).

My rabbits dig at a spot when theyre not comfortable sitting in that spot but dont want to move.
