My little bunny was only five months old when he died. He had just turned 5 months. He died on 4/23/18. So recently. (depending on when you are reading this) I spent so much time with him. I have  severe depression so he was my therapy bunny. I spent so much time with him. He was having trouble breathing and then his little heart gave out. Before he died in my arms he licked my nose and purred as I stroked his head. His name was Fajita. Fajita snowball banana fallon. I cant stop crying. He meant so much to me and I spent over 100 dollars buying a special urn and cremation necklace for him. Now his brother is so sad and so am I. I can deal with it.(but its hard) . I am personally most worried about his brother. I need advice and help. Thanks to all of you bun lovers out there. Love your bunnies and keep them safe. He has musiclly so if you would like to see him you can go there @fajitathebunnyrabbit he also has a website here is the link:

I’m sorry Fajita passed away. It doesn’t seem like you had them together that long. If you didn’t get the male rabbit until after 4/10/18, I’m not sure they were actually bonded. They may have been.  Just watch and make sure he continues to eat and drink water and that he is pooping normally.

But before getting another I would suggest trying to find out why the first one died. What was wrong? What happened? Were there any vet visits? There are a lot of questions that should be addressed before getting another one, I think.

Regardless it’s always sad when a bunny dies. Always.

            Sorry for your loss.

I took him to the vet every month. Him and his brother bonded extremely well. I really dont know what happened. He was fine and then died. I am actually not sure. Thanks for your advice its very helpful.

I’m sorry about your bun . With him passing at his young age, and so suddenly, it sounds like the cause could have been congenital or heart-related. I agree that you should observe his brother for a bit before deciding on getting him another companion. Make sure he is eating/pooping ok, and spend some extra time with him to help him deal with any loneliness.
