Our little Ginger went in on the 13th for a routine spay unfortunately she didn’t make it through. We only had her for only about 5 months and we wanted her to have a full happy life. We loved the crap out of her and my wife is devastated. She was so good to us. She was only 6 months and two days old. She had so much more binkying to do and so many more bananas and carrots to eat. Thank you for your companionship and love Ginger.

I’m sorry about your bun . Though rare, complications during a spay can occur, and it’s terribly unfortunate that it happened to your little Ginger. I know she was young, but it must have made all the difference to her that she was able to experience a loving home before she went to Rainbow Bridge. She is at peace.

Tragic. I’m so sorry. Another perfect instance of life not being fair. It sounds like she was all set to have a very happy healthy long life because of your love for her. I feel for you two. Devastated I’m sure. She did get to experience a loving home as Luna said and had a wonderful life up to the end. Thanks for giving her that. If she passed during the procedure then she likely went peacefully. No pain, no distress as I’m sure you are aware. So sorry again for such a heartbreaking loss.

Oh no that’s awful, its a very hard decision to get bunnies spayed or neutered, I lost my bunny jasper in jan under anasetic, he was 8 years old and had tumor in testical, he died with no apparent reason apart from allergic reaction to isoflurane anasitic, its so devastating, when you trust vet, and expect them to be home again with you after op,you were doing it to save her possibly getting cancer, its so upsetting and I keep thinking I made big mistake. My heart goes out to you x

Sorry to hear about Ginger. I know how sad it is to lose a young bunny, I just lost mine on April 30th. My heart goes out to you and your wife.

I’m so sorry to read this. It’s so hard when it’s unexpected like that.
Maybe down the road you will be able to open your hearts again to a little bunny who needs a home.
                  My condolences.
