I was planning on doing my first bonding session in neutral territory first. I’ve been pre bonding for a little over 2 weeks, so by the time I do my first bonding session it will have been 3 weeks. I was just looking for some tips and directions on what to do? Like should I put some food or treats out, should I just let them do their own thing? What do I do if they fight? Thanks in advance for any tips!

Its great that you’ve been doing pre-bonding! Lots of people don’t know that its one of the first essential steps of the bonding process!

I’d put out hay for them, maybe some vegetables just to keep them distracted. After that, let them just relax. I also recommend starting small, only 5 – 10 minute sessions for the first week. If there are no fights, continue the following week with 10 – 15 minute sessions.

If a fight occurs, separate immediately and go back to pre-bonding. Usually it’s recommended to do pre-bonding for about a month before going to face-to-face introductions, but if there hasn’t been any aggressive behavior and you’re being careful, 3 weeks is basically a month anyway!

Good luck on the bonding, and keep us updated!
