Bear is still very small, 12 weeks, but she was perfectly litter trained. Then the other day she was hoping around the room and decided to pee right next to my cats litter box. I put her back in her litter pan and cleaned the mess up. Now since that incident she has peed two times outside of her litter box in the “front yard” of her hutch (not close to the first spot she peed). Any ideas why? I know she’s still young but we had this litter training thing locked down.

Welcome to the amazing joys of hormones ? now that her hormones have started she’ll probably rarely go in her box. Few bunnies retain their litter habits while they are hormonal. The only thing that will really fix it is getting her spayed when she’s old enough (6months). Until then continue to do whatever means you initially used to train her that way she has a foundation for her post spay behavior.

But would the hormones kick in so early? Initially that what’s I figured but she’s only 12 weeks.

Yes, her hormones have kicked in.
