  I’m going away for a week and a half and I’m struggling on making a decision on what to do with my rabbit Chino. My mum’s friend has offered to drop by our house once a day to feed her, and take her out for a while, but there’s no guarantee that she’ll take her out for longer than a few minutes. She’s had/has rabbits herself, so she knows the importance of them getting exercise, but it just may not be her top priority, depending on the days.
  
  The other option is boarding Chino with this same person at their house. My issues is that I’m scared that she’ll get too stressed out, in a new environment (new cage she’s never been in before), with new people, and other rabbits around. She’s assured me that she won’t have her rabbits interact/bother Chino too much, but just the scent may be stressful for her, as she’s never met another rabbit before.
  
  So what do I do in this situation? Leave Chino at our house, where she is comfortable, but risk her getting lonely/not getting taken out much for a week and a half, or do I take her to the sitters house and risk her being stressed (and getting sick potentially from the stress) but with much more interaction and exercise?
  
  All advice welcome! And the sooner the better please, since we’re going away in 4 days.

  How many rabbits does this person have, and are they bonded? I would be worried that having a strange rabbit in the house could potentially split up a bonded pair, and if your bunny made hers start fighting, she might end up taking Chino back to your house anyway.
  
  That said, I think a more interaction than just popping in for a few minutes is needed if you’re away for 10 days. Can you clarify with her exactly how much time she’d be able to spend with Chino? Is there anyone else that could do a second visit each day?

  Are there any rabbit boarding services around you? You could try looking for those but it usually costs a bit compared to getting a family or friend to look after the bunny.

  She has about 4 rabbits, and apparently on has just had babies so there’s another 10 that are a few weeks old.
  
  She’s said there’ll be days when she can take her out longer, so around at least half of the time she comes by she’ll take her out, but it’s just the no guarantee that makes me worry. And initially I had planned for a friend of mine to house sit but they became unavailable at short notice, and now everyone else is too busy to help out.

  I’d rather her stay with someone I know, and I’m also a bit short on cash at the moment (due to the holiday).
