        Hi
I am new to being a bunny Mam and I have rescued 2 rabbits who are both males from the same litter. THey have always been together since I got them and they share a 7ft cage now on a night time. They are free to roam the living room and conservatory when we are in the house.
Last night I put them to bed as normal and when I woke up this morning there was fur all over!! I opened the cage and let them out and within minutes they were fighting! I then split them up and left them apart for about 15 minutes which the whole time they sat side by side with only the cage bars between them. I opened the cage and let them rejoin each other and now all day they have been great, grooming each other, sleeping and cosying with each other, eating side by side …. so I’m worried now that they may fight when I go to bed so should I split them even though they had that fight? I’m so confused and really worried!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Do you know if they are neutered and how old they are? Being from the same litter doesn’t really matter. What matters is if they have been neutered. If they aren’t neutered they will need to be kept separate at all times until they are neutered. If they have been neutered and are a legitimately bonded pair and they are fighting, the move to the new home could have caused a rift in their bond, in which case it would be wise to do a few bonding sessions just to solidify things in their new home.

            Seconding everything A&B wrote.

Have you checked them thoroughly for injury? If any skin was broken, it could get infected.
