I’m still considering myself to be a noob bunny mom but I have watched and read tons of info on bunny behaviors since getting BunBun… I never forgot how the House Rabbit Society speaks of rabbits having qualities of many animals… but they are RABBITS!!! My Bun follows me all over the home like a puppy, then becomes aloof and ignores me if she feels, just like a cat…

I’ve really treasured learning so much about rabbit personalities thru her. She has come so far from being shy and scared. She flops DBF full fashion and binkys galore, however, with all the information I have absorbed and continue to take in… no one mentions that their bunny wags it’s tail! At first I thought it was just a final burst of excitement when she was given her favorite treat.. but then I began seeing that adorable little mocha colored puff take off like a spiraling helicopter propeller every night when she is given her nightly pellets!

HAPPILY, ITS THE MOST ADORABLE THING IVE EVER SEEN!!! :???❤️❤️❤️???
Does anyone else have a tail wagging bunny?!?

That sounds adorable! My boy bun has only ever wagged his tail side to side when he’s annoyed and up and down when he’s a bit frisky lol.

First day home and being released into out living room for the first time Clover jumped up onto out couch and stole my hoodie. I’ve only seen her wag her tail a few times and it was just before chasing one of the cats down the hallway. Have you seen BunBun ‘smooth’ a blanket or cloth yet? That’s one of my personal favorites.

Hahaha I asked the same question a few weeks ago. Managed to get it on video too!

Oh! It’s cute when they do that

Hazel will wiggle her tail in excitement, after getting caught doing mischief, AND it’s something she does in conjunction with a head waggle when she doesn’t want attention. The cutest ‘no thank you’ to head pats.

Wow! I love reading these! Definitely know about the “frisky” alright! She has a Sherpa blanket that when placed on anyone’s feet or lap… her ears go up and she latches on! Domination!!! No feet are safe! Lol! A few times she has even gotten bold enough to try and mount and bite through the blanket all the way up on my son’s knee and thigh!
Speaking of blankets, YES! I adore when she pushes and pulls and smoothies out the blankies to just the way she wants them! Pat, pat, pat, pat…push, push…pat, pat, pat. I have so many videos of her doing this. But, here is one for you all, when I hold a blanket up, usually while I am folding them, BunBun chases them! She literally will chase the blanket around the room while I move it, she then hops on, and sinks her teeth into it like tug of war style and sometimes I can give her a short ride! She is Certainly not a boring member of our family at all! Any other Buns like chasing blankets and going all ravenous on a blanket?

                      Yikes
I have a bun who has/had/deals with cage aggression. It means that before I adopted her life wasn’t great. Hands meant being grabbed (who knows what else) and therefore “agression” was the only way to make scarey terrible things stop happening.

We treat her right. Respect her space. Don’t pick her up unless nessecary. We don’t put hands on her unless she bows her head – we abide by the wiggle bum no thank yous.

The only time this behaviour reamerges is when blankets or towels are a ‘wall of danger’. She does as you describe; lunges at, nips the fabric, and looks positively deranged. I only fold towels in rooms she isn’t – or on a high surface. I try not to upset the fluffy princess overlord.

Oh boy! I really hope that’s not it with BunBun… I, too, rescued her from a less than favorable first almost year of her life… I have always thought that this is some form of play for her… also since the former family hardly ever let her out of her wire cage… but, this is now something for me to think about big time… yes, my gal is Queen Bun!

                            What a cutie!!!!!

I used to have a little girl bun named Olivia that would wiggle her tail sometimes. Was cute! My new girl, Elara has no tail at all!

No tail at all? Is it specific to her breed?

LPT: it’s in contrast to your name for Elara to have no tail
