My bunny lives in the garage, and recently she hasn’t been coming out of her cage when I sit with there. we do also have cats in the garage, but they never come in contact with eachother. recently, my bunny has been just sitting in the corner. she isn’t sick, because she’s still eating and i usually have a sence if she is sick, but she is not. We have had her for almost 3 years, so she isn’t new. how do I lure her out and get her to trust me?

All ideas are appreciated, thank you!

Perhaps bun is scared of the cats…??

Although a poorly bun often stops eating, it’s not the only sign so just because she still has her appetite doesn’t necessarily mean she isn’t sick. Have there been any other changes other than her reluctance to come out?

No, there are no other changes that I have noticed. when i put out treats, he runs out to eat them, but then just hops back into his cage

Multi posts happen sometimes, the mods will take care of it

For better understanding, is your bunny a boy or a girl (you used both pronouns) and are they spayed/neutered?

Typically situations like this means the bunny is scared or depressed.

I saw in another post you said you sprayed her with water to stop her chewing the bars.

That’s relevant information. She is probably scared to come out in case you spray her again.

Sorry about the multiple pronouns, but my bunny is a spayed female. Also, i’m happy to say that everything is back to normal, she is coming out happily now. I stopped misting her, so that could very well have been the culprit, but she is over it now, and I will never mist her again. thanks for the replys everybody!
