So today Cocoa escaped the x pen when I was closing the door. I did finally catch her while she was eating some plants. When I picked her up she wasn’t scared, she looked proud of herself. If either bunny ever escapes again, what are some tips to catch them? Neither one will do anything for food so I don’t know what the best way to catch them is. I want to be prepared so they will be safe.

That is so so dangerous. Remember that it is spring time and wild buttercups are common in backyards and outdoor areas, and what if your rabbit ate one of those? Those are lethal to bunnies. Did she escape out of the backyard or just out of the pen? Either way it’s dangerous. If they don’t come for food then the best solution would be to just carefully pick them up and put them back in their pen or cage. Does your rabbit not get free time out of her cage? It seems she is very desperate and feels trapped if she would race out the second you open the door. Also what if a predator came swooping down in the time that it took you to go and get her?

They do get free time out of their cage in an x pen. We are outside multiple times a week pulling weeds. I am aware of all the things that could happen which is why I want to know how to catch them quickly. Lily won’t let me near her if she gets loose. She continues hopping around.
