My rabbit is now just under 8 months old. He has been moulting heavily for I think over two months now?? I know that hair is just part of the deal with a pet, but I feel like I’m going to go out of my mind. I’m grooming him regularly but there is just. so. much. hair. And it’s so fine that it doesn’t just fall to the floor like cat or dog hair, it floats around in the air and gets everywhere in clouds. D: When I first got him, he was definitely not moulting and barely shed any hair at all. But this moult has been going on so long it feels like it will never end. How long can I expect this to last?!  Are there any factors which influence how long or short a moult lasts? I’d much rather it be explosively messy and over quicker! And how often do they usually happen? I read that it can be every few months, and if it’s going to take 2+ months every time then he may just live his life in a constant state of moulting with no respite?? I just want some reassurance or consolation. I love him so much but I also quite like being able to get a plate out of the cupboard without finding fluff on it, or be able to sit down in my own house without having to immediately lint roller my every item of clothing. ?
