        Hello.

So now that I’m starting to spend more time with my bunny, I would like to have some ideas on what to do to entertain him and bond with him.

I know bunnies like everything cardboard so any toy ideas or toytutorials would be great

I built him this cardboard box with holes in it and I put treats in there, but he showed no interest. I even attached a cat tunnel to one of the holes. He went in it once and then hopped right out and never came back. Ohh Toby

Any other toy ideas for rabbits that are both picky in toys and food

Pellet/treat ball! Made from a toilet paper tube and scissors to cut.

A great bonding activity is clicker training. You can look up clicker training for rabbits on Youtube and there are lots of videos. But it is a fun way to keep your rabbit’s mind active and teach them to trust you for treats. You can teach them little tricks for fun or to make life easier, like training them to go into their cage or carrier on command. Check it out and see if you like it.

My boys aren’t the brightest xD Asriel could do it, but Bombur would just climb all over me for treats. God love them though.

I bought a set of Baby teething Key Rings, like these, but from the dollar store….

and OMG my bunnies love picking it up and throwing it from the sound it makes hahaha.

You can also try the Teach ‘n Treat toy, if your bun likes to work for their treat lol. Mine isn’t a huge thinker, and doesn’t really like it I’ve had better success with plastic rings and hay balls.

I wish I was able to clicker train my bunnies. Asriel, mine were like your Bombur. They’d just climb on me for treats and be completely oblivious to the clicker

My rabbits love paper bags stuffed with hay and forage. And boxes stuffed with hay and forage, and tubes stuffed with…you get the idea

Logic toys (the teach n treat thing)!would be great too. Mine were far too boisterous to play it together tho but for a solo bun, it’d be awesome.

                              Thanks so much again!

With the clicker training, I have tried that, but Toby just jumps and climbs all over me to get the treat. @AandB and @sarahthegemini, haha your buns do it too Silly buns xD. But I shall try it again and see if Toby has become a bit smarter lol.

With the baby key/rings, I got them for Toby and he didn’t like them. He’s more of the bun who likes to dig and destroy things rather than just tossing things around. He’s a menis

Ahh and now let me get to the TeachnTreat toy. He outsmarted that thing in a second! He’s a strong boy. He literally picked up the whole toy and threw it across the room! Not just the little block things that you put over the treats. The whole entire toy!!!! I may get a second bun soon so I’ll see if he/she will enjoy it more than Toby.

I actually did find a toy he liked though. Paper lunch sacks! He shredded one into pieces in a second yesterday. He also likes cardboard fairly well but definitely not as much as the lunch sack. He also enjoys chewing on these apple sticks I got from SPS.

And lastly, his favorite toy(s) of all are human stuff! He’s destroyed almost everything I own lollll!
