  Hello all!
  
  We just got Marshmallow back from the vet yesterday. He was neutered and and he came home hungry and relieved to be home. We thought all was normal until we heard this gurgling or clicking noise coming from him. I had never heard this noise before and its very hard to describe. Its as if he’s grinding his teeth but the noise sounds like gurgling spit. I have no idea what to call this. I have heard him grind his teeth before and it sounds nothing like this. I found out that it has been happening when hes hungry and I’m about to give him food. Also have been hearing it when hes exploring around his cage randomly. Soft gurgles. This is the 2nd night hearing it.
  
  Could it have anything to do with his surgery or the fact that he had anesthesia?
  
  Also, I did some investigating online and could it be that he has something stuck in his throat? But if this is the case how can he be eating and drinking normally and acting fine with something in his throat?
  
  What could this be? Help!

  Could he possibly be grinding his teeth? I know bunnies do it to show pleasure or pain, which could both be expected reactions to being home after a surgery.

  Unrelated from the neuter , he might have just begin to develop a dental issue. Rather than spit gurgling,it may be him producing and maneuvering saliva to soothe mouth pain/discomfort.
