Hey everyone! So I do know about binkies and have watched videos on bunnies doing them. My bunny doesn’t do the “typical” binkies much (i.e. jumping with foot flick in air); instead he prefers to perform sudden dashes (I’m assuming Bunny500s) as well as some head binkies.

So here’s the story: Yesterday when my husband and I came back from work and let Kurotta out of his cage, he actually did a tail wag! I’ve searched around the forums for tail wagging but it doesn’t seem like a whole lot of information is available about it. I’ve read that it could be a sign of annoyance too but my bunny didn’t seem annoyed to me? Am now wondering if it could be a part of binkying!

I don’t think I can upload videos here (correct me if I’m wrong), and I can’t seem to paste URL links either. But if you would like to check it out (and also enlighten me on what my bunny was actually thinking), I uploaded the video on Instagram @kurottabun.

        Thanks in advance!

Bombur tail wags when its his turn for play time when we let him out we always say “shake that little bunny butt” because he gives a little bum shake.

Just looked at the video, he is super cute!! Also, I would call that a binky! He seemed happy, just running about and skipping around!

Aw that’s so cute!! My bunny usually does a full coat shake in his cage instead right before he runs out for playtime

My Peanut has been known to wag his tail when he’s annoyed

Also, just watched your video and he does look very happy! Doesn’t look like a full binky to me but bunnies do sprint like that when they’re happy and have some energy to burn.

Fernando is the really energetic one of my pair – he can be counted on to binky or zoom at least once every day when out in the X-pen. His mother Panda is much more sedate and laid-back, preferring to bunloaf, bunny-rug or flop.

Hence my question in the first place lol! Was a little confused as to what Kurotta was thinking since he did a tail shake but seemed happy

It’s always cool to have bunnies of different personalities Kurotta is a bit of both – he is super curious and does have quite a lot of energy (being a Netherland Dwarf), but once he is done “exploring” he just lounges about!

I think tail wagging can be a sign of excitement too, which would fit Kurotta seeing how zoomies followed
