She actually looks like a neutered male…? I’ve never seen a developed female’s underside before so I don’t know what it should look like, but I remember Wick having to deflated-looking skin sacks surrounding his pee-hole following his neuter. I can’t check now because the fur has grown back though.

Hopefully someone else can chime in, because I believe your rabbit looked really young, so I don’t know if they would have been neutered yet even.

              How old is your bun?
It does look down there how my boys looked after their neuters. Even Asriel before his neuter looked like that. He had very small testicles.

Also, unsure if the previous owner provided these pictures or you did, but for future reference, if this photo was taken while the rabbit was put on his/her back, try to not do that unless you absolutely have to. Putting rabbits belly-up is very dangerous for their health because it triggers them into full panic, although they seem “relaxed”. I do understand the necessity of looking there for sexing, but if you ever want a peak in the future, hold a treat above his/her head and take a look while he/she is trying to reach the treat!

Didn’t the previous owner ever take the bun to the vet? Any bunny savvy vet would be able to estimate the age. How long did the previous owner have him/her?

I think you should take your bun to see the vet anyways. Just to make sure he’s healthy and so you can determine age and gender. I find it strange if this bun is that old and no one knew its gender.

I recommend taking he/she to the vet to see what gender it is. As Wick said, please don’t hold him like that on his back again Bunnies get scared very easily and that’s not good for them. But I definitely recommend you take your bun to a rabbit savvy vet to see what gender it is. It does look like a neutered male. But also, on tp of taking your bun to see a vet to determine what gender it is, it’s still important to take your bunny to the vet to make sure he/she is in good health. Rabbits don’t show pain like a dog would. They’re prey animals.
