  Hi everyone,
  
  So I bought a baby bunny and had him for about 5 weeks now. He now lives to lay on my lap for massages. The little guy licks my pants and shirt but will not lick my skin. When he was way younger he used to nibble on my pants but I stopped that habit. Now he licks me when I stop petting him or sometimes in the middle. I don’t think he’s using his teeth because I can’t feel that and his tongue tickles even through the clothes. He’s usually super relaxed too when he’s doing it. I thought bunnies lick to show affection. Why won’t he lick my hands?

  Luna does the same thing . I’m not sure why, but she won’t lick my hands either.

  I believe it is because our skin does not have the same texture as rabbit fur but clothes are similar to their fur, so most bunnies think they aren’t actually grooming us when they are licking our skin.

  Rainy does it too. At first I thought she didn’t lick my skin cause she didn’t like me but she does. They just think it’s more like grooming because of the feeling, like said above.

  Same over here, Not sure why my bun wont lick my skin, she did it a couple times before though.
  
  And yes it is normal for bunnies to want to explore and start climbing, as long as they dont hurt themselves, its fine.

  Oh goodness, Rain would climb everything when she was a baby. Once she tried to climb a wall and wanted to be spiderbun, but failed terribly. Now she’s my little Olympic jumper.
