I don’t really like it for my Bam. It seems to nip him. He has fur that tangles pretty easily, so it does depend a lot on what type of fur your bun has. For long-haired bunnies (angoras, lionheads, teddies), a furminator is not good.

I used to brush my Bam with a self-cleaning slicker combined with a lint-roller, but he wasn’t happy with it. A couple of months ago I bought a rubber scruff brush that he actually tooth purrs when I use on him. It doesn’t catch as much hair as I’d like, so I combine it with a lint roller. Because he enjoys being brushed with it, I can brush him every day without any struggle.

It really depends on fur texture…I use it for my cats but I did a “test patch” on a rabbit and it just left a bald spot. So, if your de-shedding goal is to completely remove your rabbit’s fur, the furminator is definitely the tool for you.

I have a kind of furminator (make Furblaster!) which all my furballs (cats, dog, biiig buns) get…… it does work but they only have it as long as they are enjoying it and not moving away from it.

What it is EXCELLENT for though, is getting fur off carpets and short-pile rugs!!! i must have tried it once for fun and OMG no second brush on the same patch once…. it is truly magic !!!!

I would recommend buying one (£10) JUST for the carpets !!!!!
