› FORUM › RAINBOW BRIDGE › My Baby Coco ? ? ? ? ?
My sweet baby Coco passed away this morning. It was so sudden, I heard a squeak from his room and then I saw him lying on the ground, not moving and not breathing. I can’t help but blame myself for this, I could’ve done something different, I wish more than anything I would’ve appreciated the moments with him. But now my baby is gone ? ? He wasn’t sick or anything, it was so sudden ? I would do ANYTHING for him to come back to life. I miss him so much!!!!
i’m so very sorry about Coco. Buns can go suddenly like that, and while it is a blessing that there wasn’t a long time of illness and suffering, it’s so very hard to accept. I lost my bunny Yohio very suddenly and unexpectedly.
We always blame ourselves. It’s normal, but it doesn’t mean we did anything wrong. It’s just our brain’s way of trying to make sense of things.
Binky free, sweet ****Coco****
I’m very sorry for your loss
Rabbits are so fragile, they often die of something completely unexpected like a heart attack or seizures. Not seeing it coming can make the loss even more painful and confusing. Wishing you all the best in these difficult times!
I’m very sorry about the loss of your sweet Coco.
So sad for your loss. Its very hard to accept, my bunny died two months ago still hurts so much.
I’m sorry for your loss. And thank you ?
Thank you everyone. I hope I’ll be happier in a couple days after cocos passing. ?
I am so sorry, It happens a lot and I want you to know that you had no control over it. You did all that you could to give Coco the best life possible on earth. Now he binky’s free among the stars with other Binky Bunny rabbits.
I’m so sorry for your loss. A little over a month ago, I lost my beloved and very seemingly healthy Sterling very suddenly. It is incredibly hard.
Time heals all wounds, though. For now, just cherish the memories and be glad for the time you had together.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your bunny Coco. I lost my 10 year old boy in January and I still have bad days crying over him.
Mine had been battling GI problems for nearly a year and was doing really well then went downhill extremely fast. So sad that Coco was taken so suddenly from you I feel your pain and heartache. Reading rainbow bridge posts on binky bunny have helped me and hopefully help you at this sad time.

I just read about your rabbit Coco! I looked up your profile and saw Coco was born in 2010, although I know this doesn’t help much, it’s great that Coco made it to around 8 years! I lost mine suddenly too and it’s hard to know what to wish for. In some ways it is good that it is sudden, but perhaps the shock adds to the weight of the grief. The reality is there is no “good” way for them to pass really is there? Thank you for providing a loving home for Coco, and please try to focus on the good memories.
I’m so sorry about your bun. I can’t imagine how much you miss him; you gave him tons of memories of good times you both had together.

Sorry for the loss of Coco. And you do wish you did something different, spent more time, paid more attention, petted them a little longer. All normal things but as BingosDad alludes to, any way they pass is terrible and too soon. And it’s anguishing no matter how easy, quick, alone, or with them in your arms…it’s all painful with associated memories and regrets.
Time always heals to a degree. Everyone at different paces with different perspectives. Reading others’ stories here helped us in realizing and more importantly feeling we are not alone. And that the agony of loss can be empathized with and almost shared. It’s happened and is happening all the time to members everywhere. It helped reading about all the bunnies personalities, seeing their pictures, sharing our little girl with them.
Hopefully this message finds you doing better even though it’s only been about a week. Thank you for being one of those who took in and loved your bunny. BingosDad mentioned the movie “Coco”. I haven’t seen it yet but we will and I’ll be thinking of little Coco himself for sure.

I agree there’s definitely no ‘perfect’ way of a bunny dying, thank you for your kind words, I appreciate it. I know sweet Coco is in a better place now.

Thank you very much ? I still cry when I think about him, and it still hurts. I really hope in a few weeks I’ll smile when I think of him and acknowledge the good memories I had with him. Of course I’ll always miss my little baby Coco, but like I said, maybe in a few weeks it’ll be a lot easier for me.
