        Hi all,

Ophelia has never left home before, but she is coming with us on vacation. I don’t have anyone that I trust to look after her so she has got to come with me. The local rabbit rescue offers very cheap bunny-sitting….but I know that Ophelia detests strangers and would just be a complete stress ball. It is only a 1 1/2 hour drive and the rescue lady says that if she’s very sensitive to new people it would be best if I just bring her along.

I’m making a little check list and wondered if you guys would comment with what you normally pack for your rabbits when you travel.

Critical care and simethicone are all I can think of…I’m sure that there should be more than that.

We are staying for 1 week in St.Augustine, and the nearest exotics vet would be in Jacksonville, and would be about an hour and a half drive. So I definitely want to be prepared for anything.

I’ve never traveled with Luna before, but here’s what I can think of:
            – Medical kit (cc, simethicone, benebac), and recon of ER vets (which you already covered)
            – Grooming supplies (maybe trim her nails before you leave so that you don’t have to do it while you’re on vacation)
            – Blankets, car window shade, frozen water bottle
            – Cardboard box/cutout to keep hay in place in car carrier, and water bottle that can hang in car carrier

Just to add on to what Wick and Luna said, some toys would be good so Ophelia can keep busy. Have a fun trip!
