Hi all,
I’m new here. I have a 9 week old male holland lop. I have had him for a week and have been trying to litter train him from day one, I know he’s only a baby and it will be difficult to accomplish until he’s been neutered but I figure it can’t hurt to get him used to the idea. Hocus Pocus lives in a large two story dog crate and has free time in his own room when we are home (although he seems to prefer to stay in his cage even when the door is open) here’s my dilemma, the litter box was originally in the BACK LEFT corner of the cage however he seems to very consistently pee in the FRONT LEFT corner and poops where ever he feels like! I moved the litter box to the front left and he has definitely pooped in it (I put fresh litter in when I moved it) however this space isn’t great for the litter box because it’s literally right in front of the cage door and right next to it is the ramp to the second level…SO if I turn the entire cage around so the current BACK RIGHT corner becomes the new FRONT LEFT will that trick the bunny into peeing in a more ideal spot away from the door?
*sorry for the long ramble. I’m new to this*
