        Hey all!

We’ve (my partner and I) been trying to find out what breed our adorable bun is since we adopted him back in December. He’s a rescue so the SPCA we adopted him from wasn’t totally sure on his breed either.

Some basics about Tequila: He was born around July 2017, currently just over 7 lbs., mostly white with grey spots & he loves to dig!

I’m going to link his instagram so you can see some pictures of him if that will help: tequila_the_fluff

If anyone has some insight or other questions that might help identify him, please feel free to comment! I’m trying to solve this mystery as a surprise before my partner gets back from a nursing trip in China!

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help

Her coloring is blue magpie harlequin. The harlequin pattern has been introduced into a lot of breeds. So pattern alone doesn’t necessarily tell us anything. His features do resemble the harlequin breed. Maybe he is a mix? I’m guessing that because his coloring isn’t what would be considered ideal for the breed. He has a lot of white and does not have the classic “split” half-and-half face. But if you ask me, he is gorgeous.

She has a little shading on her nose also, like pointed rabbits have. Funny, as I was just chatting about this in another thread regarding my rabbit. That doesn’t necessarily point to a breed though, more colour genetics.

She looks very sweet in those pics. For some reason, I want to say she might have some lop in her.

Thank you! We definitely think he’s a mix and have been trying to narrow it down some. I definitely can see the resemblance with harlequin tho and your insight was a huge help!

Thanks! His mom thinks there’s some lop in him too! I’m pretty split on that one but can definitely see it a bit
