I have two rabbits, one male and one female. Ajax the male is a dwarf lionhead lop mix and Berklee is dwarf lionhead. They will be 3 years old in July. They are my first rabbits. When we first got them, I didn’t pay too much attention to how long they are likely to live. The buns were for our daughters. However, I can’t even believe how much I love them and they are basically MY rabbits, my girls just take care of all the physical stuff, I’m in charge of loving them!
I’ve read on Facebook recently people who have rabbits having lost their six year old, or seven year old rabbits and I’m thinking OMG!! Mine will be 3 and I’m not ready to have their lives half over!!
I just got used to them! We have cats and dogs and they all live forever. We just had to put our 16 year old medium sized dog to sleep in January. Our last three cats lived 16, 18 and 16.
Someone please give me good dwarf bunny stories that they lived past six or seven. My buns are fixed, live only inside and we are super careful with their diets.
