Of course it is a journey to bond with your bunny, and whenever you hit a landmark you celebrate even if its just a “yes” in your head. My rabbit Mocha had another rabbit named Rocket for company for years and they got along great. Mocha was satisfied with his friend and never payed much attention me. But when Rocket died last year he was reduced to me for company… so the next level of  bonding began. I was really used to love and affection from my other rabbit, so it was definitely an adjustment. Mocha and I soon realized that he loved to be pet and we bonded over that, and playing out side, ect. So one day you could tell he was thinking and then gave me a little lick I was ecstatic. The second time he licked was about the same. But tonight while going through our routine and petting him he all the sudden licks me. Of course I am sooo happy that my bunny is showing me he loves and trusts me. Then he licks me again, then goes at it licking me for minute or two.  So so after saying goodnight I head to my room and break into dance with the biggest smile.  Then of course share my excitement and silly reaction with you guys. I am definitely a rabbit mom 100%.
