        Hey everyone
I have my family coming to visit and thry are bringing their dogs (friendly). I have a free range spayed lop earred bunny. She is about 8 months old. She roams the house 24/7 all rooms and doesnt have a cage. Im afraid that the visiting dogs will disrupt her perfect behaviours. Any suggestions or knowledge on ths is greatly appreciated.

Keep the dogs in one room?

The simple solution is often the correct solution.

You never know what’s gonna happen if you mix predator and prey. Even if the dogs are truly harmless, you can’t know how the bun will react. So either the bun or the dogs will have to be locked up at some point. Best solution for everyone would probably be to let the bun roam around only when the dogs are out for a walk or locked themselves in another room.

The bun is obviously going to smell them, just as they can smell her, and she might show territorial behaviours if she’s bothered by their presence.

I have a free roaming mini lop and last weekend my parents brought their jack russell over. Garf (rabbit) was pretty weary of Lola (dog) at first, Lola was kept on the lead as we know what jack russells are bread for but after about 5 mins and him realising she was harmless he was totally fine with her, went back to running around like normal, eating hay etc. All Lola wanted to do was sit and watch him, oh and eat his poop haha
