Hi rabbit friends! Well Petunias hormones have kicked in! Oh boy! So I have her side by side with her friend Mr Buns who is a neutered male and they actually got a long super (bonded but obviously not a full bond due to hormones) today I was cleaning and the little devil escaped because the large gate was down and she went straight to Mr Buns and as I was quickly removing her from his side of the room she sprayed him with urine! I’m confused because I thought this was a male thing to do? The vet did confirm she was a female should I have her checked again? Spay date is April 4th

Both males and females can spray if I’m not mistaken, just like how both can hump.

Thanks Wick, should I block them from seeing each other? I want the spraying to not become a habit.

If those hormonal behaviors are now active, yes, separation is needed.

Well they are seperated with double fencing. They can lie side by side but not touch. I don’t think she’s trying to spray him from her side, it was only the time she had physical access to him
