Our dwarf lion head is about 6 years old and was spayed very young. He hadn’t sprayed in a very long time until recently (we have no idea why because nothing has changed). He’ll be running around out and about while we just hang out minding our business then all of a sudden he’ll spray my boyfriend! I’ve never been sprayed and my boyfriend has had him for 5years! It’s so random. He’ll do it at least once a day when he’s out running around. We have absolutely no idea what to do.

If you have any advice please let me know. It hurts my boyfriends feelings (lol it’s cute)

There may be a change in scent or perception. Any new soaps or new environments your boyfriend has been a part of?

Spraying is a positive thing technically. It means that rabbit wants to claim the territory or person. Wick only sprayed me when he began doing it.

It could be a weird phase. I’d advise slight avoidance to reduce it until maybe he settles back into your boyfriend. If you notice he’s circling or getting excited, your boyfriend should get up and walk away, or you can distract your rabbit with food. Thats what I did until Wick was neutered.
