        Hi there

I am hoping someone can shed some light on this! I have a female house rabbit who is neutered. In the past few months she had begun to pull out her fur from her chest. It seems to come and go in cycles. The fur grows back and then a week later she starts again. She lives alone and always has done, she free roams all day and has a lot of toys and attention. She went to the vets the first time it happened and they thought it could be mites so she received treatment for that but she seems to keep doing it.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior before?

I have read online it could be due to a lack of fibre.. she doesn’t eat a lot of hay so I wonder if this is the case.

        Any advice would be great!

        Thank you

        Charlotte

          Hello

Only reasons I can think of are false pregnancies (that would make little sense here), stress or mites.

Has she been checked again by a vet for parasites after the first treatment? What medicine was she given?
Is it possible she is being stressed by something? (another pet, household changes, etc)
