After a long time of researching, I have come to the conclusion that my rabbit, lolo, needs a friend. I continued doing research on how to bond rabbits and take care of 2 rabbits. I finally was going to ask my mom for another rabbit. She said we will have to see. I gave her a month to let her think on this decision. I finally had the guts to ask her again, but sadly she said no. She said that it was too much animals in the house (  2 dogs, fish,1 rabbit, and 1 hamster). What my mom also said is that i’m not here for 2 days. I go to my dads house for 2 days and that was one reason why i wanted another rabbit. I do completely understand that i’m a teen and can’t support my animals. We also live in a town house so space is limited. If i was going to get another rabbit i would need another cage or build the rabbit pairs a new cage. I also live with my step dad. my mom and i are going to visit my family in Argentina. He is going to look after my rabbit for 10 days during spring break. I feel bad since lolo is going to be alone for 10 days.\

*ANY ADVICE IS VERY MUCH NEEDED AND APPRECIATED*

            thanks for any help

I’m not really sure what kind of advice you are looking for, to be honest.

To be honest, if you dont have room, time, or money for one rabbit, you shouldnt be thinking about a second rabbit.

That sounds like a pretty crowded situation as it is. As long as your bunny is well cared for and has enough exercise time out of his enclosure, he’ll be fine. Rabbits are social animals and need quality time with their humans. How is your bun housed?

Please take your time instructing your father about how to catch early signs of illness, just to be sure the bun will be properly cared for while you’re away.

Thank you! i’m moving next year to a larger home and im going to get another rabbit. For now i’m not going to stress out and i have been making for time for him. I have informed my dad how to take care of the rabbit and i think lolo is in good hands. my bun is housed in a nic condo.

You didn’t mention if Lolo is neutered or not. If you are seriously thinking of getting a companion for him in the future, he will need to be neutered, and any rabbit you get for a companion will have to be spayed or neutered. That surgery can be costly, so you may need to start saving toward the bill. If you get a companion for him from a rescue, she or he will likely be spayed or neutered already.

Hi, yes lolo is neutered and i already went on my trip. My sister is moving her stuff out so i will have her room to put lolo in. Im very excited to let him have that whole room for himself. I did adopt him so it was a mandatory neuter, but i didnt have to pay because the humane society i adopted him from covers the cost. Thanks for the advice
