My bun is 4 months old, and I’m currently giving him a good variety of veggies every day, and rotate them weekly. But lately, it’s just been getting very expensive to have to buy him all of these different kinds of veggies weekly. That’s when organic spring mix came to mind. It has a great variety of lettuces and different kinds of vegetables. My only concern is that I would be giving it to him every week. I’ve read that it’s good to give different vegetables every week and not the same ones. But spring mix would be way cheaper and I’ve heard that a lot of people only give spring mix since it has a lot of veggies. I personally don’t see a problem with it, but I just want to make sure.

I use spring mix. It’s much easier to get variety that way. When they say to rotate veggies, that mostly refers to when people pick 3 or so to feed each week. If you only buy the same 3 things, then bunny won’t get any variety. I like spring mix because it has tons of variety built in. Even if it contains veggies that should be limited, bunny will only be eating a few leaves at a time plus everything else. So it really takes a lot of the thought process out. If you want to jazz it up a bit, you can buy some herbs to add to it and rotate those as well.

Thanks so much! Herbs are Toby’s absolute favorite, so thanks for the idea of adding them in I guess I’ll be giving spring mix every day from now

Question: How many cups of spring mix do you give to your bun per day?

My boys are not huge veggie eaters. They never have been. They will usually share a cup or two. You can feed up to 2 cups per 6lbs of body weight though. It just depends.

Thanks Toby loves veggies, so I guess I’ll give him about 2 cups a day.

My boys love the spring mix with herbs… though they do tend to leave the spinach until they realize they won’t get anything else xD If you’re going to buy the Olivia’s brand (I rotate between 3-4 different boxes) I highly suggest the butter lettuce and the sweet baby lettuce. Both of them go crazy for it.

Thanks! I’ll definitely have to get the one with the sweet lettuce cause as you know, my boy has a very sweet tooth
