New bunny but hasn’t pooped in 12 hours ?

  Should we be concerned or is this due to stress. He has eaten and has been hopping around but we don’t know behavior yet so I’m nervous. We are going
  To pick up the gas drops in the morning and try that if we don’t see poop. As far as the breeder told us he has been going fine and eaten today. But I get very nervous. I tried rubbing his belly without stressing him too much. He is 8 weeks old so brand new. I gave him some fresh greens with water on them to get some
  Liquid in his system since he doesn’t seem to be drinking any water either. He is eating but I Don’t want his little belly to get backed up. We have critical care on hand should I just give him a little of that to help get it going? I may be overreacting but we had a tough battle with our last bun so i just want to make absoultly sure we’re doing everything we need to. I’ll get him into the vet if I don’t see a change by tomorrow. But is this normal being in a new home and being so young? I did put a towel over the cage too because that was suggested in another post here for privacy. So I’m hopping that helps him get used to his surroundings and maybe he will go.

  You shouldnt be feeding greens until he is around six months old. At 2 months, his tummy is not developed enough yet to be able to digest greens.

  It could be stress, but it’s a bit abnormal for a bunny not to poop in 12 hours. Are you giving him hay? Hay should be the biggest part of his diet and he should always have it available unlimitedly. If your’e not feeding him hay, then that’s why he’s not pooping. For hay types, when my bun was 8 weeks old, I fed him timothy hay and some alfalfa hay to mix it up a bit. They say baby buns should have alfalfa hay as their main hay, but I personally believe that grass hay is better. You could order hay online, or get it at a pet store. Even Tractor supply has hay for small animals. Since he’s still a very young rabbit, feed him pellets. Oxbow sells pellets made for young rabbits. I fed my 8 week old rabbit a 1/4 a day of his young rabbit pellets. Too many pellets isn’t good. And for veggies, you can start feeding them at 12 weeks old which is at 3 months. According to the House Rabbit Society (they study and know rabbits from head to toe) rabbits should have fresh greens when they’re 12 weeks old. Just make sure you introduce very slowly. Romaine lettuce is good to start with. You have to introduce only one veggie per week. So for example, give a small piece of romaine the first day, and increase the amount a little bit each day. There are more forums that give more detail on introducing veggies. Again, make sure he’s eating unlimited amounts of hay. Good luck

  His diet is palettes and Timothy hay. I did the greens just for the water in them because he hadn’t drank anything either so I figured that was kinda like a treat in his eyes.but I will cut it out with the greens I didn’t know that. I gave him a tiny amount of critical care last night around 1-2 am because there still wasn’t any poop. This morning we woke up to plenty of poop! So I think it was stress related. He seems to be doing much better now aside from the water it’s hard to tell if he’s drinking it. I have a bowl of fresh water and a water bottle just because I don’t know his preference yet or what he was used to.

  It was just stress. Some bunnies get ore frightened than others. Just make sure he’s eating enough hay, eating a small amount of pellets, drinking water, and most importantly, receive love. Rabbits will make amazing pets once you create a bond with the. It’s super easy My bun licks me in the lips every morning may sound gross, but it’s adorable
