Our six month Polish rabbit, Shady, has been having some new behavior issues. After he was neutered two months ago, he calmed down after about a week and was litter trained. About two weeks ago we got him a bigger cage. He was fine at first now he’s been leaving piles of drippings on out couch picking up has food bowl and tossing it and pooping all over has cage. He’s also been grunting more at all of us. Any thoughts?

The cage is new so the territory poops are to mark the cage as his. It should die down after a few weeks to a few months; whenever he decided the cage smells enough like ‘home’ As for throwing the food bowl, he either wants more food, hes super bored, or he finds it a lot of fun. When does he grunt?

I think boredom and more food sound about right!  He grunts when we first let him out of his cage – as if to say “its about time”.  I had my kids make him a cardboard castle today – he kind of turned his nose up at it, but thinking he’ll like it eventually!  Thank you!
