I forgot that i had put vapor rub on myself earlier and when I woke up to put bunnies into their houses for bed, I was petting one of my bunnies- i put my head close to her that when I went to kiss her, I forgot I put vapor rub on my head earlier and it got on her face. I am afraid that when she starts licking her face it will be harmful, How do I remove it? I dont have anything. Please help!

The menthol in it would be the issue, especially if near eyes. Do you have some plain mineral oil (medicinal grade) ? Removing greasy substances can work by using another oily substance. The mineral oil would not be a big deal if the rabbit groomed some off themselves. You could put cornstarch on fur after, then brush it out, to help absorb the oil.

If there wasn’t much transferred to her fur, my above suggestion is probably too over the top!  Using cornstarch alone, might help.   Does her face smell like the rub?

Hey Jerseygirl, before posting I used a wet cloth of water to remove the vapor rub from her head until there wasnt anymore and the scent was very faint afterward. I check in on her a few minutes after putting her to bed and she was reacting normal and when I woke up today she was fine and throughout the day. I think I caught it in time before anything. Thank you for your suggestion I will definitely keep that in mind for the future- hopefully it won’t happen again.
