What was the first vegetable that you introduced to your rabbit? What do you recommend?

romaine is usually the most gentle on the tummy, so I’m sure most of us started with romaine. start slow. introduce a little of one veggie for a few days and monitor for changes in poop. then you can introduce a second, and repeat the whole process. if you’re getting an 8 week old, wait until 12-16 weeks for feeding veggies. some bunnies have sensitive stomachs and can’t handle the richness of the veggies until they’re a little older. with fruit you want to wait until 6 months.

Romaine. One year later, Wick’s default and typical sole vegetable is green lettuce though because he likes it more.

I would go for Romaine. As Asriel and Bombur said it is easy on their stomachs. It is also very delicious for them!

I started off with Green Lettuce. But I agree that Romaine is best for starting off. Be careful though, because there is news of E.Coli in Romaine Lettuce. I’m not sure if it ended yet though. I just remember reading a while ago that there was an outbreak. It might be over now.

Edit: Yes, it’s gone. Romaine is safe!
