        Hello fellow bunny lovers,

I plan on using an essential oil diffuser in my apartment which is very small (but not the smallest.)  I mostly plan on using rose oil.  The place where I am going to put the diffuser happens to be close to the rabbit’s cage.  Does anyone know if essential oils are safe near rabbits?  Any particular oils I should watch out for?  Also, what about cats?  I’ve heard that it might not be safe for cats, although my ex used one in our apartment constantly for months before he found that out and my cat is just fine.

I wouldn’t advice using anything aromatic in the rooms the bun is allowed to be. Their nose is very sensitive and they can also be very sensitive to chemicals and dust. So maybe to be on the safe side, if you really want to use an oil diffusor, use it somewhere the bun’s not allowed

Rose oil isn’t as bad as some of the other oils (tea tree, peppermint, etc.). However, I would be wary of using any essential oils near bunnies.
