,Hi everyone
Sadly on February 1st Dusty was found in her cage barely breathing. She died minutes later in my arms.
Me and Ivory miss her with all our hearts. Every day I wake up and go through it all over again when I realize it wasn’t a dream. She was just 4 years old and had so much more life to live.
We don’t know what could happened, as she was fine that morning. The worst feeling is knowing that their was nothing you could have done to save her. She wasn’t sick, she was eating, drinking and going the bathroom completely normal.
Does anyone know what could have happened? Heart failure? A seizure?
The first couple of days were the worst for Ivory, I was afraid she would never be the same. Luckily for me she is back into life. She was recently moved inside and is a free ranged indoor bun. She loves it! I have never seen so many bunny flops in my life! She follows everyone around and has turned into a little princess, throwing her bowl around when she wants food and excepting everyone to move out of her way when she hippety hops around the house. It makes me so happy knowing she’s happy again.

. It’s hard to say what happened; a necropsy is the only way to truly know but it is not always conclusive. That’s good that Ivory is handling the loss well and that she is happy again.
