Ok, bunnies must chew.  So my 2 Holland lops have lots of wooden chew toys!  But they are now doing serious damage to their huge and very expensive indoor wooden-framed hutch!  Wire bars are getting loose in spots and I fear a total breach of the walls soon.  Is there something nontoxic I can coat the hutch walls with?  Rabbit proof paint, rubber cement, plastic wood filler, rustoleum, spray on PlastiDip, anything?  Doesn’t have to be beautiful.

I think that most or all of the items you listed would be dangerous if your rabbits kept chewing on the wooden frame, which they likely would. There is a product called bitter apple spray that you can put on items to hopefully deter chewing, but some people have said that their bunnies actually like the taste. I saw an old thread here where people mentioned putting a little perfume or distilled vinegar on items to deter chewing.

All three of my bunnies love bitter sprays; it always made problems worse for me. But, distilled while vinegar works wonders for my rabbits! They absolutely hate the smell of it.
